Projects For FootPrints

These are some projects/systems which i have developed for FootPrints X3. i have been fortunate to get a chance to work on such live projects. there's no greater feeling than seeing something you coded being used and working flawlessly.

1) FootPrints Registration System (FRS 1.0):

The backend of the footprints registrations. i had two choices in the beginning: one, to use existing old system and two, make new one. i did go with option two. the previous system was vulnerable to hacking, was not user friendly and built in 09.it was freaking old! so i decide to make new one. i tried to make the new system more secure by using PHP Data Objects, prepared statments, used ajax etc.

FRS 1.0 handled over 10,000 registrations this year. :) ;) special thanks to Japa and Richa.
 2) FootPrints X3 Mobile Site(m.msu-footprints.org):
the first ever mobile website of FootPrints as well as any technical event of Gujarat. :)
the mobile website was developed using jquery mobile and PHP.

special thanks to Hardik.
3) Registration Module of www.msu-footprints.org:
integrated online registration module to the FootPrints X3 wordpress website.
this module facilitates users to register online and pay the fees in the bank. the fee slip generated and emailed to the participant automatically.
special thanks to Dhairya, Dharak and Raj.
4) Android App for FootPrints:

the first ever android app of FootPrints. ;-)
you can download the app from here.
the app would not have been completed without help from a senior Pranav. thanx a lot dude.
special thanks to Miraj and Bhargav.

and finally big thank you to all volunteers and organizers of FP X3 for testing out these systems before launching them out to public. ;-)
it was a great fun!

Adios!
