Connect The Dots - My Take (book review)

this is second book from the author of well known book "Stay Hungry, Stay foolish", Rashmi Bansal.
i can say that she is heavily inspired by steve jobs as she is used to choose titles of her books from the commencement speeches of Steve jobs.

(if you dont know about Rashmi bansal then it's not a problem, just google the name, if you dont know about steve jobs then slap yourself twice and then google the name..)

for those who dont know about the book "stay hungry, stay foolish", it is book which narrates the stories of IIM-A pass outs who chose to start their own business instead of taking high salary jobs and how they became successful.

well, this book is somewhat different. it contains stories of the guys who did not had MBA degree, but had great idea and dreams about business. they choose their own path and get succeed. it contains stories about 20 such fellows. i literally loved story of some guys. one observation i did from the book is half dozen of people in this book are IIT grads.

i personally liked the stories of Prem Ganpati, kuver sachdev, suresh kamath, raghu khanna.
i loved the stories of hanmant gayakwad (Diploma guy!), abhijit bansod (NID grad), krishna reddy of prince dance group, and kalyan verma (wild life photographer).
kalyan verma's story is like farhan qureshi of movie 3 idiots.

some common points i concluded from each story:

1. you dont need MBA to be successful businessman, all you need is great idea.

2. if you have some different idea about business then dont ask people what to do, just jump in it. dont care what people say or will say.

3. trust yourself.

4.  hardwork.

i think this book is great inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs. if you have time and you are (shameless)free enough to read this kind of blogs and chatting on facebook or orkut then you must read this book rather than doing that.

kudos to connecting the dots!!
